On May 22, 2011, the members of Saint Michael voted to create an Endowment Fund to provide a means for the Church to receive and manage property to promote the Gospels of the Lord and to serve Christ in the World.
Contributions to the Endowment Fund may be in the form of all personal property and real property transferred to the Church and designated for the Endowment.
The Endowment Committee members consist of:
- Three additional members appointed by Church Council
At this time those individuals are:
Current assets include a bank balance of $101,641.24 and property in Georgetown, SC.
The Endowment Committee may make disbursements from the appreciated assets ($516.24) upon its own volition or in honoring an Application for Distribution from a separate entity.
The Endowment Committee may make recommendations only for the following purposes:
1.
Greenville Community outreach programs to enhance spiritual and economic growth;
2.
Mission programs of the SCELCA in the United States and abroad;
3.
Seminary programs and fees for a member of the Church who enroll at a Seminary;
4.
Programs implemented at the Church to promote the growth in Christian faith and in spreading the Good News of the Gospel; and
5.
Special programs at the Church for improvements not specified in the annual budget.
Disbursements (if any) are made September 30. Grant applications may be submitted between August 1 and September 15. Forms are available at the church office, or you may click here to print one out..
