Lutheran Men in Mission  This group of men meets each 2nd Sunday of the month at 7:15 am for breakfast, business, programming and fellowship.  LMM sponsors golf tournaments, family night at the G-Braves; supports Habitat for Humanity, seminary students; and participates in programs and the state and churchwide levels.  See St. Michael's Lutheran Men in Mission's current calendar.

Women of the ELCA  This is the women's organization of the Lutheran church.  At St. Michael's there are three circles meeting each month for fellowship, devotions, Bible study or other programming.  WELCA sponsors the Girls' Gala each spring, provides scholarship funds for Lutheridge campers, coordinates meals for families in need, and participates in extended ministry with local organizations.  The WELCA at St. Michael also participate in programs at the local, state and churchwide levels.  See the current Circle schedule.

Saints Alive  This is our senior adult group, which meets monthly for a luncheon, usually covered-dish, and activity.  Sometimes the group goes off campus to sites of interest - arboretums, museums, farms, etc.  Saints Alive strives to enhance the quality of life of others and ourselves through mental, physical and spiritual well-being.  Thank God for your Blessings.  Celebrate age every day.  Life.  Be In It!  See what we're doing, click here.

3-F: Food, Fun & Fellowship  This group plans and implements fellowship with food and fun mixed in through dinners at members' homes and churchwide events, usually a picnic in summer and a Christmas gathering.  Dinners at members' homes take place on the same night, with the same menu, with 8-16 folks at each home. Check Announcements for upcomming events.

Sunday Fellowship Opportunities include our Sunday Lunch ministry.  This involves many members of the congregation, friends and guests.  Two or three families prepare and serve a hot meal following 11:00 am worship from October through Lent.  The first lunch is traditionally the Every Member Birthday Party, where we celebrate everyone's birthday.  Sitting at tables designated by the month of birth, we have the opportunity to fellowship with different folks and forge new friendships.  In the Gathering Area each Sunday morning we serve coffee and juice.  This time of fellowshipping, usually between services and Sunday School, allows members to greet visitors and welcome them to St. Michael's, as well as visiting with each other.

Breakfast Together  On Thursday mornings, this group meets for breakfast at at 8:30.  Together, they fellowship for an hour or so.  Many deep and lasting friendships were begun and are nurtured through this weekly time of fellowship.

THIS SUNDAY'S LUNCH IS HOSTED BY the Pennington, Jones, Varney and Simpson families.  Menu:  Crunchy Baked Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, Green Beans, Corn, Rolls, Ice Cream & a Surprise Dessert.  Plan now to stay for this celebration of the gift God gives us in each individual among us, and for this holy time of building up Christ’s Church in this place.  We still have open dates on the Sunday lunch calendar—one in February, and many in March, and some Lenten supper slots.  If no one chooses to cook and serve on a given Sunday, we will not serve lunch here that Sunday.

CONGREGATIONAL RETREAT NEXT SUMMER AT THE ISLE OF PALMS will be July 22—29, 2012.   Those of you who may be interested are encouraged to mark your calendars today.  We have been able to reserve the entire Coastal Retreat Center for the entire week!  We need to use it or we will lose it . . . .
