Recycle – And Help St. Michael Raise Money

TerraCycle is a company founded in 2001 that makes affordable, eco-friendly products from a wide range of different non-recyclable waste materials. With over 50 products available at major retailers like Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, OfficeMax, Petco and Whole Foods Market, TerraCycle is one of the fastest growing eco-friendly manufacturers in the world. Their hope is to eliminate the idea of waste by finding innovative, unique uses for materials others deem garbage.

TerraCycle runs free national collection programs that pay non-profits and schools to collect and mail-in used packaging such as drink pouches, energy bar wrappers, yogurt cups, cookie wrappers, chip bags and more! The collected materials are upcycled into affordable, high quality products ranging from tote bags and purses to shower curtains and kites. TerraCycle prevents 1000’s of tons of waste from going to landfills each year.

You can be a part of this amazing eco-revolution! Scroll down to see the items St. Michael’s is collecting for Terracycle. The money received from Terracycle for the items we collect will go into the Learning Ministry budget! Please consider saving and bringing in as many of these items as you can, ask neighbors, family members and friends to save them for you too! And together let’s be Good Stewards of God’s Great Creation!

Terracycle: Items SMLC can collect & return for cash!!

Our TerraCycle collection room is Room 209, just off the Gathering Area to the right as you come in the front doors.

It would be extremely helpful if your contributions were sorted in the boxes available for the purpose.  Remember that plastic drink bottles go in the green recycle bins in the fellowship hall and green room kitchen.  We are not collecting ziplock bags!
