Extended Ministries
Each one, as a good manager of God’s different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gifts he has received from God.
1 Peter 4:10

Our gifts, many and varied, are offered to show thanks and appreciation
for our many blessings.  Each person, with his or her unique gifts, is special and valued as a Christian brother or sister doing the work of ministry for Christ’s church.

Gifts of your time and talent are very important to the ministry of St. Michael, to "serve Christ in the World."  The Office Staff, Congregation Council and Committee Leadership use a listing of volunteers by ministry area to carry out plans and projects.  Please consider offering your time and talent to the ministries of St. Michael.   Time and Talent volunteer form

Current Needs

MEAL MINISTRY
Would you be willing to cook extra? Do you cook for 1 and often end up with food for 3? If you are interested in the ministry of preparing meals for the members of our congregation who are homebound or cannot easily prepare meals for themselves, please contact Ann Huffman or Vicar Elise. This ministry will be in addition to meals we provide following funerals. We are also in need of meals for members who are diabetic and on low-sodium diets. If you are interested in preparing or able to prepare these certain meals, please let us know.

Open Arms Hospice Watchman
Are you interested in being a friend to a patient or caregiver? Would you like to deliver lunch trays, assist patients with writing letters or singing? How about being involved with pet therapy, scrap booking, baking cakes or gardening? The Hospice House in Anderson is looking for volunteers to help with these and many other activities. If you are interested in volunteering your time in this way please contact Linda Cramer, Hospice Watchman, for more information.

www.campvictor.org IS THE NEW WEB PAGE FOR THE RELIEF WORK being coordinated through Christus Victor Lutheran Church.  Check it out for an update on how things are going one year later, and the continuing need for supplies and volunteers.  The web page of the Southeastern Synod of our ELCA is another incredible source of information and celebration of the church working together.  Go to www.elca-ses.org/Katrina_recovery and look around.  Tell our Social Ministry and Council leaders how you believe we are called to help.
